Let’s discuss what is wrong with Paul’s image -

Paul is an Operations Manager for a large company.  We were appauled when we saw his outfit he wore to work.  He doesn’t enjoy shopping and is not aware of quality.  The focus was to improve the fit and introduce him to some modern retailers.

HAIR & SKIN - Paul’s hair was in serious need of a modern cut, rather than a cheap haircut from the barber. He also needed education on how to care for his skin and hair.

SHIRT - The shirt is far too baggy for Paul and fails to showcase his toned body.  The colour doesn’t look too bad but could be of much better quality.

SUIT - Overall, the suit is far too large for Paul, making his body appear significantly smaller than it is.  It is not well-fitted, lacks quality, and is very dated, featuring pleated trousers and a double-vented jacket that is unnecessary.  He does not look competent and confident in what he is doing.

TIE - Oh dear, the tie is far too loud for Paul.  We are looking at the tie before we see Paul’s face.  It is too short and messy!

SHOES - Many men opt for inexpensive, low-quality shoes.  This is where you should allocate your budget.  All men need to have a high-quality shoe.

Result -

Now, we see a man who clearly looks trustworthy, confident, and very successful. The fit looks so much better, and the colours look very classy.

Paul began with a men’s styling consultation. We then took Paul to Reiss and introduced him to a more up-to-date look that is also age-appropriate.

HAIR & SKIN - We gave Paul a more updated hair cut and showed him how to wash, style his hair, and what products to use. He purchased some good skin care.

SHIRT - We went on a shopping trip in London to introduce Paul to fitted shirts with double french cuffs. This made such a difference to his look.

JACKET & WAISTCOAT - The suit jacket fits him so much better. We went for a modern grey check and, to finish off, the matching waistcoat, which gives him a traditional but up-to-date look.

TROUSER - The charcoal grey, plain-fronted trouser has a mid-rise, which again showed off his physique.

TIE - The purple, green and white striped tie gives a contrasting look to go with Paul’s colouring that is strong but not overpowering.

“For years, I had the same style, but I had no real idea what suited me.  Maggi was brilliant. She showed me what colours and clothing styles suited my natural colouring and body shape.

Armed with a few golden rules and my trusty colour wallet, I now feel confident when shopping for clothes.  Big thanks to Maggi.” Paul
