declutter your wardrobe
“how do I achieve a capsule wardrobe?”
Wouldn’t we all like to open our wardrobes and find a super organised, tidy, clean space filled with high-quality garments in beautiful colours that all match and work together? How wonderful would it be to spend less time searching for an outfit, feeling no stress, and having the confidence of knowing exactly what to put together? Then, as you look at yourself in the mirror, you can love what you see, with your confidence soaring high.
This is achievable for all of us, so what’s the problem?
· You feel overwhelmed with not knowing where to start
· You don’t have the know-how
· You don’t know what to keep and what to throw away
· You don’t know what suits you
· You have so many clothes and can’t see the wood through the trees
· You don’t know how to put things together
At spring styling, we have organised people’s wardrobes for over sixteen years.
We possess extensive training in wardrobe management and dressing individuals. We have established a process that we follow, which requires time and patience. When executed, it results in a beautifully arranged wardrobe that is organised and reflects the client's lifestyle and personality.
before
clothes on the stool, the wrong colours
This is an excellent example of a transformed wardrobe declutter. My client had the full-step process, starting with the foundations of colour and style. We undertook a couple of wardrobe declutters to clear out the wrong colours and styles that did not align with her style preference, colouring and body shape. After compiling a list of items needed to complete her capsule wardrobe, we hit the shops to fill in the gaps. With time and patience, we finally completed an array of fabulous clothes and styles that complement her lifestyle and personality. It was a joy to do!

how does it work…
We begin by discussing your needs and objectives over the phone or via Google Meet. Based on this information, we will guide you towards the best-tailored wardrobe consultation. Once you agree to proceed, we will schedule a date in the diary and commence this new journey together.
We will ask you to complete some homework. This exercise is not only for us but also for you. It's an opportunity to reflect on your current style, fashion goals, and any challenges you may encounter. This will enable us to better understand who you are and your struggles and how we can assist you in reaching your ultimate goal.
Depending on how many clothes you have, the client either brings their clothes to the studio in Exeter or we go to them. This also makes a difference in having a minimum of three hours of decluttering or a full day.
what we offer
1. BASIC DECLUTTER
This is a great starting point, where we remove everything from your wardrobe, drawers, etc., and go through a basic process, resulting in a more organised, tidy wardrobe. We help you put your clothes and shoes into bags to go to charity or throw out.
2. WARDROBE MANAGEMENT
Here, we examine the current spaces for your clothes and shoes, offering suggestions to enhance these areas for a more organised environment. We discuss lighting, hanging space, and shelving to create a more straightforward, more organised space, removing stress and making it easier visually when searching for outfits.
3. COLOUR and STYLE WARDROBE WEED
This consultation follows a client's colour and style consultation. This is a fun, practical stage where we work together to eliminate the colours and styles that do not suit and consider clothes that require adjustments. We sort them into piles for charity, tailoring, recycling, or giving to friends. We put the garments that work back in the wardrobe, assessing what is lacking for a successful capsule wardrobe. We make a list of what is needed.
4. OUTFIT BUILDING
This is the final piece of the puzzle and where the fun begins. After presenting you with a personal theory of colour and style, tidying up your wardrobe, assessing your needs, and possibly making shopping trips to find the garments and accessories, we engage in a practical hands-on experience, demonstrating how to put it all together and finalise great looks. Photos of the outfits are taken and sent to you for reference.
