ladies styling
I had the pleasure of working with Kim Algar in 2016. It brings me great joy to see how she has taken the fundamentals of colour and style and fully embodied her brand, allowing her to pursue her passion for modelling. She is a stunning and stylish woman.
want to look stylish and have the perfect capsule wardrobe?
A ladies styling consultation will provide the foundations for achieving a future successful capsule wardrobe. Understanding your unique style, body shape, proportions, fabrics, cuts, and scale is key to helping you make those important decisions when shopping for garments. We all have a habit of wanting to know everything now! How many times have women contacted me, wanting to help them sort their wardrobe and put outfits together? Could you play grade 8 on a piano straight away? Probably not; you would start by learning the keys and move on to reading music. Well, styling is the same. It is a process that takes time to learn. When you get there, the feeling is unbelievable!
People are intriguing, and I relish their stories. Without self-awareness, one may make mistakes like accumulating excessive clothing, feeling swamped, and suffering from low confidence and self-esteem. Women desire to look their best, exude confidence, and understand what flatters them. They want to walk down the street, glimpse their reflection in a storefront, and think, "I look great!”

Here we see Susan Annett, in her 60s, looking classy in her quality clothes and having excellent taste. However, she was stuck in a rut and lacked excitement. I knew we could help her to go to the next level. We had to start again and introduce a look that matched her personality. We had to bring her up to date with colours that suited her colouring and age-appropriate garments that oozed class. What a makeover! Susan has seriously evolved over the years. She constantly updates her look, pushing herself out of her comfort zone to look her best. She is stunning! Her saying is “I’m worth it”.
how does it work…
We start by discussing your needs and objectives over the phone or via Google Meets. From this initial conversation, we guide you on what personal image services would be best for you. Once you have agreed to proceed, we book a date in the diary and begin the new journey together.
We'll ask you to complete some detailed homework. This exercise is not just for us, but for you as well. It's an opportunity for you to reflect on your current style, fashion goals, and any challenges you may face. This will help us gain a deeper understanding of who you are, your struggles, and how to help you reach your end goal.
To prepare for the consultation, you will need to complete the following steps:
1. Fill out a questionnaire.
2. Create a Pinterest board of styles you like and hate.
3. Send us photos of your outfits, your body shape, and some portrait shots.
We will review this information and print it out before the consultation, allowing us to begin the style workshop effectively.

what will you receive?
You will receive a 20-page style A4 workbook, this being your future bible (for individuals and one friend).
We will discover your style preference, body shape, proportions, scale, fabrics, cuts, necklines, and facial features, which are personal to you. We will also touch on some special rules that will help you shop confidently, knowing what works for you, what doesn’t, and the reasons behind these choices. Additionally, you’ll find ideas on where to shop.
We will begin the style workbook by understanding your body. We then show you numerous examples of tops, jackets, coats, skirts, trousers, jeans, and accessories, along with guidance on what to wear and avoid. This interactive process is designed to be engaging and proactive, and we will work together to ensure you fully understand the information provided.
Group workshops with 4-6 people receive 2 x A4 sheets with less information. Please have a look at the styling workshops we offer.
future support
The good thing is, you don’t have to do this alone. If you want extra support, we can help you weed out the clothes that don’t work for you, find those amazing pieces you need, and show you how to put it all together.
A mentoring service is also available online or face-to-face. It covers anything you want help with regarding your styling session and future purchases. We even advise on hairstyles, glasses, colour, self-image, mother/groom of the bride, and special occasion outfits.
If you want to look in the mirror and say “I’m worth it”, or are struggling with what to wear, fed up with just wearing jeans and a jumper, wanting to find yourself and have a sense of direction, or desperate to feel confident and look beautiful, then let’s book a call and start taking action!
