hairstyling

what hairstyle suits me?

Don’t you wish a hairstylist could sit you down and discuss a hairstyle that would suit you, considering your face shape, facial features, and scale?

How to know what length to go for and someone who even takes into consideration your clothing, lifestyle, and personality?

Yes, the hair looks amazing when you leave the hairdressers, but what about the basics?  Do you know how to shampoo your hair, what a treatment is and how much conditioner to use? What products do you need to style your hair properly?

At Spring Styling, our creative skills began establishing a hair business. Combining this with our Image Consultancy training has given us the edge to go the extra mile in helping our clients look and feel fabulous.

how does it work…

We ask about your struggles via email, what information would be useful to you, and your end goal.

We start the journey together once we have a date in the diary and the cost pre-paid.

To assist you as best we can, we kindly request some head and shoulder shots to preview your current hairstyle before your consultation.

You are welcome to bring the products you use and some pictures of hairstyle ideas to discuss.

Your hair consultation will take 1 hour and will include:

  • Sitting down in front of the mirror and looking at your hair. Discuss your existing hairstyle.

  • Examine your face shape and facial features, and consider your style preference, personality, lifestyle, scale, and potential hairstyles that would complement you.

  • Look at the condition of your hair and discuss products for washing and aftercare.

  • Provide an A4 sheet with the information discussed and show you photos of ideas for hairstyles.

From this information, you go to a hairdresser, show them a picture of the hairstyle that suits you, and provide information we discussed during the session.

why it works

Crista has a medium-length, oblong face shape with contoured features.

She is a natural style preference, which means that the hairstyle needs to look natural and not perfect. For Crista to be able to easily put her hands through her hair, to have an unkempt look and still look good.

To look her best, we need to add width to the top of her head and finish the length by her chin to balance her facial length and showcase her lovely neck.

Additionally, the hairstyle needs to incorporate some roundness to harmonise with her contoured features.

  • “I wanted to share some feedback: a random guy at tennis this afternoon said my hair looked good! I took that as a compliment — well done! Thank you for being so supportive on this journey!”

    Sue Dobson, Cornwall

  • “I have been having my hair cut and coloured by Maggi for eleven years. She has an excellent eye for colour and proportion and will go to endless trouble to achieve the correct result. I feel fortunate to have found her. “

    Ros Yarlott, Colyton, Devon

  • “Maggi has been my hairdresser for several years. She is enthusiastic about reassessing your colour and style to keep up with the latest trends. She is the only hairdresser I know who is interested in what suits you, taking into account your face shape and features. I wish I had found Maggi earlier in my life.”

    Cindy Burridge, Seaton, Devon

  • “Maggi is a wonderful role model for women. For a number of years, she has been my main inspiration for hair, make-up, colour analysis and style. She has also helped me gain clients for my business. What a woman!”

    Crista Bramley, Beer, Devon

  • “I have had loads of comments with my new hairstyle. It has knocked years off me. It has changed how I feel about myself and I am full of confidence. Maggi is like a closely guarded secret – if it gets out, everybody will be beating at her door!”.

    Ray Cox, Sidmouth, Devon
